From Syria's bloody civil war and the slow-burning crisis in eastern Ukraine to perennial diplomatic headaches such as the North Korean and Iranian nuclear programs, Donald Trump and Rex Tillerson would face a messy, complex world as the chief U.S. diplomat.
So now we know that the president elect Donald Trump and secretary of state Rex Tillerson will inherit a mess in the world like Syria, Allepo that just fell recently in the hands of the Syrian government forces. And that mess in Aleppo will be part of Barack Obama his legacy. Obama his red line in Syria (an empty threat) was a disaster and a big humiliation not only for Barack Obama himself but for the entire country. Russia outsmarted Barack Obama and made proposed a deal to get rid of Assad his chemical weapons. After Assad his forces in Syria allegedly used chemical weapons. Many people claim the so called ‘’rebels’’ funded by Obama actually used the chemical weapons. And that would make Obama a war criminal. So lets stick with the official government story for now, for argument's sake. According to Obama the Syrian government crossed the ‘’red line’’ Obama drew earlier in Syria. Now the so called ‘’rebels’’ (probably al Qaeda and ISIS members) have lost in Aleppo ad the Syrian government took over the city. And now they are saying there is a genocide occurring. Put all that aside. We also have a big mess in Iraq and in Afghanistan. And of course we have a diplomatic incident with both China and Russia. China seizes one of our underwater navy drones and Russia told Obama to provide evidence for their alleged hacking of our election or to stop talking about it already. And the most freighting thing of all? Obama said he would retaliate against Russia. What is Obama going to do? Start a war with Russia? Or start a cyber war? At the same time we have a refugee disaster going on in Europe. In other words: the world is burning. And president elect Donald Trump is going to have a very difficult job to at least fix a little bit. It's a good thing to know that Donald Trump wants to repair relations with Russia and work together with Russia to fight ISIS and terrorism all over the world. Some experts have said that's too naive, but that's a lot better than threatening war with Russia. Now it turns out that Barack Obama knew about the alleged Russian hoax back in 2015, and what did he do? Nothing, of course. Just like his red line. But when Donald Trump takes office in January we believe the tensions with Russia will fall and Trump will repair those relations. The refugee crisis is a result of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama their failed policies. The mess in Syria and the failed Arab springs are the main sources of the refugee crisis. We need a change from President Obama and Hillary Clinton’s failed Syria policy. As yet another ill-conceived ceasefire deal has failed. Rebuilding Syria and other war-torn nations will be another challenge—and one that requires the world’s attention. We need a plan for the Middle East in the vein of the Marshall Plan, which rebuilt post-World War II Europe, but the U.S. alone cannot foot the bill. We will need multiple nations, as well as public-private partnerships, in a coordinated approach to give these refugees a place to come home to along with access to basic human services. We cannot be naïve about our own national security. This is not about arbitrary numbers, but about aiding real people, who truly need help. A reliable and strong refugee vetting system is a critical component of that. Suspending immigration from terror compromised countries is not a radical solution.
